THE DRAWINGS IN THE "SCENES FROM DAILY LIFE" SERIES ARE A REFLECTION OF PLACE AND PRIORITIES, AND ARE A RECORD OF THE IMPRINT WE MAKE ON OUR SURROUNDINGS.  THE ORDINARY SCENES DEPICTED SUGGEST OUR ATTEMPT TO SHAPE AND ORDER OUR ENVIRONMENT ON A VERY PERSONAL LEVEL.  THE TRAPPINGS OF OUR LIVES--THE OBJECTS WE CAREFULLY ARRANGE OR HAPHAZARDLY SCATTER--DISCLOSE A GREAT DEAL ABOUT OURSELVES.   LIFE'S ESSENSE IS OFTEN REVEALED IN THE COMMON SCENES AND MINUTIAE OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE.
